Why are there so much discussions and in fact controversies concerning Calendars lately? The world has a largely universally accepted Calendar: the Gregorian Calendar. This Calendar appears to answer most of the questions in regard to the needs that any Calendar should meet. So, then, why is there so much out-cry against it?

If you have not joined the conversation, you certainly have not been paying attention to the things which are critical to your eternal wellbeing! Please, you are highly welcome to the conversation, since you are here today. The text below informs us to be sensitive to our spiritual ambience. Ignorance won't save us!

Here on this Site, we have discussed the issue of Calendars extensively in the context of Worship. Please review the page and discussion here before returning to this page if you will.

Following that, we will keep this page simple and direct. We shall be asking and answering questions to help clear our minds. Let's begin with this question:

When you attempt to find biblical events in the Gregorian Calendar, or any of the many Calendars in use today, you will be shocked to fail 100% of the time. You cannot find any biblical event that is timed, in today's Calendars! Why? The Bible must either be ignorant of Calendars or calendation, or the Bible has its own Calendar! Which do you think is the correct option? Does Elohiym know about time, or does He not?

Indeed, the Creator of Time sure knows about time. And, the time has now come for us all to know about time.

Elohiym created time. And warned us to look out for someone who would seek to 'change the times...'. when that 'someone' showed up, forced changes in the times (calendation), we paid no attention! Even when it made nonsense of our ability to worship our Creator appropriately and acceptably, we paid no attention! This web site and page are inviting you to turn your attention, even for a moment, to this extremely important matter.

Genesis Chapter One, reveals the following:

• ☞ Day - to comprise of two parts:
  
  1. Light
  2. Darkness
  The 'Light' is called 'Day' and the 'Darkness' called 'Night'. But, the 'Day' is made up of two parts:
  1. Morning
  2. Evening
  The 'Day' and the 'Night' constitute a 'Date' of 24 hours, in modern English.
• ☞ The 'Date' began with daylight (Dawn/Sunrise) and ended at the next 'dawn/Sunrise', a 24-hour timespan. The day and the night shared the 24 hours presumably, equally back then. For Yahuwshuah asked: "...Are there not twelve hours in the day? ...". Yahuwchanon 11:9 Cepher
• ☞ The Sun to rule the day. And the Moon to rule the Night.
• ☞ Working together, the Sun (greater light), the Moon (lesser light) and the Stars (much smaller and much lesser lights) shall decide days, months (seasons), and years.
• ☞ Bereshiyth (Genesis) 1, did not mention the 'Week'. But, the entire creation lasted seven days, including the day Elohiym, the Creator 'rested from all His works'. We now define a 7-day period as a 'Week'. The 'Week' automatically, or naturally became a pattern for us and part of the architecture of 'Time'. More so because, the Creator called upon us to gather every Sabbath; the seventh day of the week; the last day of the biblical week, for nurture from Him and rest with Him.

Days are grouped into Months (of 29 or 30 days each) controlled by the Moon and its Cycles and movements around the Earth.

Months are grouped into years (of 12 or 13 Lunar Months each) controlled by the Sun and its interaction with the constellation ( or Zodiac) of Stars.

But, what is it like today?

• ☞ The Day is now, just a day.
• ☞ The Day now begins at midnight and ends at the next midnight!
  What is the interval between midnight and dawn/Sunrise called? AM? Yes, but, not morning, or is it? Still there is a recognized 'morning', which is believed to end at noon, followed by 'afternoon', believed to end at 'dusk'?
  Ok, where is the 'evening'? Oh! Yes, part of the afternoon, huh? From when to when?
• ☞ What is the role of the Moon in the Calendars of our generation, like the Gregorian Calendar? None! What role do the Stars play? None!
• ☞ The modern Calendars are basically, Solar Calendars, in the sense that they are designed to match the Sun's motions. They are perpetually fixed Calendars, keeping faith and pace with the seasons (Spring, Summer, etc.); running with no input from anything!

But, who is in charge here? Man, or Elohiym? Well, men seem to be calling the 'shots' and so, may we call them 'gods' then, since they are playing 'Elohiym'?

No! Impostors! For Yahuwah Elohiym placed His clock beyond the reach of Man: We cannot touch the Sun, we cannot prevent the Moon from its motions and, the stars? Well out of our reach! Are they not? Elohiym remains in perfect control of Time.

However, If the 'change of Calendar' did not become a fundamental part of Satan's plan to hijack all 'worship', one may disregard it, as in all reality, as far as the cosmic clock system is concerned, nothing changed! But the tragedy is that this seeming 'no there there' has robbed Elohiym, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the worship due to HIM alone!

Who are you worshiping? How are you worshiping? If you are not worshipping Yahuwah, and in HIS appointed ways and times, there will be terrible consequences! As they say, 'Hell to pay'! To learn about this in detail visit this page here.

The history of the change of calendation is a long one. It was not done in the dark or by one person. It was in broad daylight; over millennia, masterminded by Satan, the leader of the rebellion. The Julian Calendar introduced the solar Calendar, with an 8-day week. But, not long after, the Egyptians educated the Romans into switching to a 7-day week while maintaining the solar calendation. Then came Pope Gregory in the 16^th Century, who is the author of the Calendar as we know it today! Let us stay with this simplistic view of what went on. There was a great number of players and roles in the process of 'dethroning' Elohiym!

The one important question at this point is: 'do you want to be identified as a participant in the rebellion against the Most High'? We hope not.

Okay, a few more questions:

Did you notice that none of the popular religious festivals of today can be found in the Bible? If they are not biblical, where are they from? And, why not the biblical Feasts? What's wrong with the biblical Feasts? Why are they abandoned in favor of the fake but popular ones the world favors today?

Celebrating the biblical Feasts will expose the 'rebellion' and cue people to the questions of why the dates are not in the Calendar? The fake feasts do not. They are defined by the Gregorian Calendar and come around as planned yearly. Try to raise a question in your congregation or community about biblical Feasts and watch for the depth of hostility you will experience. Oh! beloved, the confederacy in the rebellion is massive. But, they are weak and have been defeated. Halleluyah, Amein.

As long as you subscribe to the popular festivals: Easter, Christmas, Mass, etc, you are not worshiping Yahuwah, the Creator. We Need to return to the Bible, to the biblical Feasts which in turn will demand our celebrating them on the dates and times the Bible commands. Those dates cannot be found in the Gregorian or similar Calendars.

Welcome to Lunisolar Calendation. Calendars which allow the Stars, the Sun and the Moon to control all aspects of time and timing as commanded in Bereshiyth (Genesis) by the sovereign Creator, Yahuwah Tseva'oth.

There are very few Lunisolar Calendars in use in the world today! And, right off the bat, the 'Jewish' Calendar is not one of them!
What is called 'Jewish Calendar' is the Gregorian Calendar with 'biblical feasts' sprinkled all over it. There is nothing wrong with this. The dishonorable mention here, is the fact that what is derogatorily called 'Jewish Sabbath' is held in keeping with the dictates of Roman catholicism: 'every Saturday'! Biblical Sabbaths are not Saturday events! How then can the Calendar be called 'Jewish' when it follows the dictates of 'catholicism' and contrary to the Word of Elohiym?

Before concluding whether the 'jewish' Calendar is even lunisolar or not, consider these:

The Rabbis fixed the length of the months of Nisan, Sivan, Av, Tishrei, and Shevat at always 30 days long. Iyyar, Tammuz, Elul, Tevet and Adar are always 29 days long. Heshvan and Kislev, both Fall Lunations, can be either 29 or 30 days in length. In a leap year, there are two months named Adar. When that occurs, during embolismic years, Adar I is 30 days long, and Adar II, 29 days long.

Notice that there is absolutely zero reference to astronomical events or inputs! The 'Jewish' calendation is lunisolar in thought or principle and absolutely not, in practice. Too many arbitrary rules: fixed lunation durations and 'rules of postponement' of dates of biblical feasts!

In our humble opinion, currently, there is just one Lunisolar Calendar of note:

WLC Calendar

There are, however, numerous lunisolar calendation promoters around the world. But, they do not yet have functioning Calendars to note. They emphasize the need for the biblical Lunisolar Calendar and a return to it. They promote all known criteria for lunisolar calendation. A major plus for the cause of Elohiym.

It is highly appropriate here, to give a lot of credit to WLC. Theirs, is the first true Lunisolar Calendar available world-wide. It is freely available both for desktop and mobile, even on Android platforms. Never mind that the desktop version is presently and temporarily disabled. WLC promised its soon return. WLC has been phenomenal in advancing the cause of this facet of the Truth. This is in their calling. And they achieved it really well to Elohiym's eternal glory. The restoration of the 'Divine Names' is also another facet of the Truth that they championed as in their calling too. WLC cannot be commended enough for these by mortal lips or pens. Sadly, they have stepped beyond their calling and are now fully in enchanted, heresy territory. We must keep them in our prayers.

The Holy Highway Ministries, led by Ms Beth Mehaffey, is deserving of a lot of credit too. They invested massive time and resources into researching and highlighting Lunisolar calendation principles, guidelines and guardrails. They addressed virtually all aspects of the nature of lunisolar calendation. They have our respects. We glorify Elohiym for them.

However, and sadly, holyhighway.info did not go the rest of the way to generate a Calendar. Their reasoning being that each congregation any where in the world should be able to apply the principles in their 'New Moon Series' presentations and make a Calendar for themselves. A great idea indeed. You know, like "teach 'em to fish". But, in their demonstration of the making of a Calendar based on the Gregorian Calendar, they did not divorce themselves from the 'rebellion'! They, like the 'Jewish' Calendar, placed biblical feasts on the Gregorian Calendar. But, to their great credit, they showed no respect for the 'jewish rules of postponement'. The sad part? Their interest in lunisolar calendation was as it applies to annual feasts only! They placed their weekly Sabbaths on Gregorian Saturdays exactly the same as the 'jewish' Calendar as shown in the two figures above! Tragic, indeed!

But, with the beautiful WLC Calendar a reality, it begs the question: "who needs another Lunisolar Calendar"? Why should anyone seek to generate another lunisolar Calendar? The Gregorian Calendar has no peer among solar Calendars. Most everybody else simply use it for whatever purpose. The same is expected of the WLC Calendar. Peerless, being the best and most developed among lunisolar Calendars.

No, sadly, the WLC Calendar, did not meet all biblical criteria for universality! Here are some of the reasons why unanimity is well-nigh impossible to attain in this important cause:

When does the Day begin? At 'astronomical dawn' as WLC advocates? At 'Civil Dawn'? Or at 'Nautical Dawn'? Or at 'Sunset', as Highway to Holiness advocates?

Answer:

Consider the graphic below. There are several available options for starting points for a day. Which should we choose? Obviously, our choice should reflect the will of our Elohiym, shouldn't it? The Gregorian Calendar uses midnight, which is not even in the graphic. WLC uses 'astronomical dawn'. Holyhighway.info uses 'Sunset'! EPMMI uses 'Sunrise'. Which is the right choice? What does the Bible say?

The Savior's question is enough to settle this question. See more on this in the next section. Sunrise is the only option here, we believe. Nothing else will do. But, think about it. Where did the Gregorian Calendar get the cue to use 'midnight' as the start and end of a 'day'?

Why are wrong years chosen as the Starting year on the Metonic 19-year Cycle?

Answer:

The Metonic Cycle is like this:

This is one Cycle. At the end of the 19^th year, the Cycle begins again at 1, then 2, and so on to 19 again. It takes 19 years for the Moon to return to the exact same spot in space and time during its journey around the Earth and against the backdrop of the Zodiac.
It differs for the 'Jewish' Calendar as with the WLC and Highway to Holiness Calendars! WLC used 1954 as an index. EPMMI used 1897 even though our Calendar starts in the 4^th year, 1900, and will not travel back in time beyond 1900. But, HolyHighway.info appears to accept 2003 as an index year in their version of the Metonic Cycle!
The 'Jewish' version, lists the year 5777 of their Calendar which corresponds to 2016/2017, for an index! Rosh haShanah for that year was on Tishrei 1, October 3, 2016. This continued the rabbinic practice of starting their year in the 7^th Month of the lunisolar year instead of the first month (Aviv) as commanded by Elohiym! 2003 is the 12^th year in EPMMI's version of the Cycle! 2016/2017 were the 6^th and 7^th years in EPMMI's version of the Cycle! How do these bode well for the cause of Elohiym pertaining to biblical calendation?
The fact that WLC and EPMMI versions agree, is little comfort in this crucial matter! The fact that both NASA and USNO agree with WLC and EPMMI, is still little comfort in this crucial matter!

To check if a Gregorian year is embolismic, the following formula is used:
(Year - 3) % 19. If the result (remainder) has decimal part, multiply that part by 19. If the result is 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 or 19, the year is embolismic. A 13-lunation year. But, it is important to set year 1 correctly.

To check if a Jewish year is embolismic, the following formula is used:
((Year * 7) + 1 ) % 19. If the result (remainder) has decimal part, multiply that part by 19. if the result is 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 or 19, the year is embolismic. A 13-lunation year. But, again, it is important to set year 1 correctly.

When exactly is conjunction? At what point is the Moon called 'New'? At Astronomical Conjunction or at 'crescent sighting'?

Answer:

On this, both Organizations and EPMMI also agree. Astronomical Conjunction. Sadly, holyhighway.info considers the phenomenon as the 'death' of the old Cycle, rather than 'birth' of a new Cycle. This is of no practical consequence except at the point when they may decide that 'full moon' is 'new moon'! As some do!

Which day is the New Moon Day? Same day as Conjunction or when?

Answer:

The same principle is followed by all but applied differently by all! It is agreed that when Conjunction occurs before the moment of the 'Marker', which could be 'Sunrise', 'astronomical dawn', 'Sunset' etc., that day is New Moon Day. But when it occurs during or after the moment of the 'Marker', the next day is New Moon Day.
Sadly, for WLC, the 'Marker' is 'astronomical dawn'! For holyhighway.info, it is 'Sunset'! But for EPMMI, the 'Marker' is 'Sunrise'.

Are we at liberty to 'postpone' divine events to suit our calendral idiosyncrasies as the "jewish" Calendar does?

Answer:

No, we are not. It does not say so any where in Scripture.

The ugly consequence of these issues is the situation in which Elohiym's children, claiming to uphold and use the Lunisolar Calendar, are found worshiping on different days for Sabbaths as well as for Divine Feasts!

EPMMI did engage both Organizations seeking to appeal to their love for Elohiym and for HIS cause, to harmonize the issues. But, sadly, pride of place and person have continued to get in the way. WLC claims to follow scripture whereever it leads. That was not my experience with them. Just a slogan, it appears. With, Highway.info, it was more humble and reactive. Ms Beth Mehaffey promised to continue prayerfully studying the subject. Accepted.

In the next section, we shall discuss the issues in the context of our efforts to keep all basis for lunisolar calendation biblical. Not just 'as biblical as possible'. EPMMI avoided re-inventing the wheel also, by using the Gregorian Calendar and superimposing the Lunisolar Calendar on it. It is unavoidable really, as most every one uses the Gregorian Calendar for all secular purposes. It makes sense to use it. When I look at the Calendar, I see my secular events and my religious events. Avoids the confusion of running two different Calendars. EPMMI however, remained faithful to all biblical events as stipulated by the Bible including the weekly Sabbaths.

In Working with or on Lunisolar Calendation, a good knowledge of Astronomical phenomena such as: celestial fields, equatorial planes, ecliptic planes, the zodiac, right ascension, declination, plane of the moon, moon phases, Vernal Equinoxes, seasons, precession, and a whole host of others, is quintessential.

These reveal a cosmic clock set up by Yahuwah beyond Man's capacity to influence or rig. However, it is not the purpose of this page or website to dare to teach these which we would rather those better trained in them to deliver to you. We may make references to one or the other of the astronomical phenomena, but definitions and explanations should be sought elsewhere. NASA, USNO TimeandDate.com, and many others have excellent pages on every one of the phenomena and more.

We will focus on delivering a Lunisolar Calendar that meets every requirement found in the Bible. The Biblical Lunisolar Calendar, has a few must meet conditions. They are as follows:

• ☞ The Stars must play a role. Their role affects the dates and times of Vernal Equinoxes. The equinoctial points should be in the designated part of the Zodiac. It was in 'Aries' in the time of Yahuwshuah. Today, due to 'precession effects', it is now in 'Pisces'.
• ☞ The position of the Sun on the day of the vernal Equinox is presently in the constellation of Pisces near the border of Aquarius. Modern star maps have the Equinox entering Aquarius in about 600 years. Per WWU.EDU/astro101/a101_precession.shtml
• ☞ Vernal Equinoxes determine the beginning of the Year. There are two lunations around the Vernal Equinox. They are the March and April lunations. Whichever one is closer to the date of the Vernal Equinox provides the starting lunation for the New Year. This ensures that both Passover and the Full Moon happen after the Vernal Equinox.
• ☞ The Sun must play a role. It determines the length of the year. How many days did it take the Sun to return to the same spot in the Zodiac? The Sun circles the Earth once each day. The Moon also. Contrary to lifetime indoctrination and postulates of pseudo-astronomy, the Earth is immovable.



• ☞ How many lunations happened while the Sun was completing its journey across the constellations? Never more than 13 lunations and never less than 12 lunations. This is the year.
• ☞ The Cycle of 12 or 13 lunations is a recognized pattern, known as the Metonic Cycle. It is a 19-year period. The 3^rd, 6^th, 8^th, 11^th, 14^th, 17^th and the 19^th years of the Cycle are invariably, embolismic years. Meaning, they have 13 lunations. This is the Divine form of the Leap Year phenomenon. This guarantees seasonal harmony. The Seasons are never out of harmony with the Calendar.
• ☞ The month is either 29 days or 30 days long. This is because, the lunation is always longer than 29 days and two lunations, yield an extra day.
• ☞ Whether a lunation / Month is 29 or 30 days, is not arbitrarily set as the 'Jewish' Calendar does. It is determined by the time of the Conjunction. At what time did the Moon attain zero illumination? Was this time earlier or later than Sunrise on the day? EPMMI uses Sunrise as the Marker. Recall that WLC uses 'astronomical dawn'! Ms Beth Mehaffey's HolyHighway.info uses Sunset. If conjunction takes place before Sunrise, the day is the New Moon Day. But if it happens after Sunrise on the day, the next day / next Sunrise becomes New Moon Day, the 1^st day of the new month. This first day is not part of any week. It stands by itself. The first week begins with the 2^nd day of the Month and ends with the 8^th day which is the first Sabbath of the New Month.



• ☞ EPMMI uses Sunrise as the transition moment / Marker, for the following reasons:

  Sunrise | Not Dawn or Sunset

  1. The Savior's question, 'Are there not 12 hours in the day?', ensures a stickler to Scripture must settle for Sunrise. This is because it is impossible to have a 12-hour day using 'Astronomical dawn'! Regardless of Geography, the deviation from 12-hours a day using Sunrise is only marginal at the worst. Note that if your day begins at 'astronomical dawn', it must also end at 'astronomical dusk/twilight'! The astronomical Dawn may occur between 4am and 5am, while the astronomical 'dusk' may occur no earlier than 9pm at night in most cases. We are looking at a 17-hour spans!
  2. In the Lunisolar Calendation community, peoples and places where Sunrise or Sunset may not exist during certain times of the year, polar regions with midnight Suns or noon day darkness, are always advised to use 6pm as their Marker for Sunset and 6am for their Marker for Sunrise. 6am to 6pm guarantees a 12-hour day too.
  3. Sunset would be the alternative to Sunrise as the time of the start and end of each day. But, this is not scriptural. Those who choose Sunset, do so because the Bible says concerning the Day of Atonement in: Leviticus 23:32 Cepher "It shall be unto you a Shabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, shall ye celebrate your Shabbath".
     A special requirement to begin fasting at the end of daylight on the 9^th day and continue to the evening of the 10^th day is here misappropriated. A look back at Genesis 1 should restore our sobriety. The day begins at Sunrise and ends at next Sunrise when the next day takes over. Yahuwah did not begin the day's creative work at evening! He ended the day's work at the evening of the day. Of special note here is a fact which most people never appreciate. And that is the fact that the Creator did not create anything during the Night.
     If the 'evening' of the 9^th day is somehow assigned to the 10^th day, and the 10^th day retains its own 'evening', wouldn't the 10^th day have two evenings and the 9^th have none? How does that make sense?
• ☞ The weekly Cycle restarts with every New Moon Day. There is no continuously cycling week.
• ☞ Each Sabbath must be on either the 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd or 29^th day of the month/lunation. There is no Sabbath in the Bible that is not on one of these dates.
• ☞ Passover must be on the 14^th of the first lunation/month of the year. The day must be the 6^th day of the week, every year.
  Feast of Trumpets must be on the 1^st day of the 7^th month and the day of atonement must be on the 10^th day of the same 7^th month. The Feast of Tabernacles begins on the 15^th day, a Sabbath and ends seven days later on the 21^st day, followed by a regular weekly Sabbath on the 22^nd. This Sabbath is often joined to the Feast and referred to as the 'last great day'. This gives the impression that the Feast has eight (8) days, instead of seven (7).
• ☞ New Moon Day is the 1^st day of the month. A Sabbath but of different if more intense nature than regular weekly Sabbaths. The week begins from the 2^nd day of the lunation. Four weeks in all every month/lunation.
• ☞ Notice that every month/lunation is identical except in the situation where the month/lunation has a Transition day, the 30^th day.

EPMMI implemented all the rules applicable and are confident that each Qodeshiym (Saint), may have confidence in this Calendar. However, this Calendar can ONLY be a guide. See it as no more than a guide, please. Infallibility does not exist on Earth!
Please note also, that due to the lack of resources, we are not able at this time to undertake the packaging of the Calendar into a share-able App. It will remain available here on our website until such a time when resource availability enables its packaging into a downloadable App. If you are moved to support and make this happen, please feel free to engage in our Father's work.

However, every Qodeshiym (Saint), should study the subject as thoroughly as possible to ensure that you are not being led or misled by anyone. We shall each answer for our decisions and actions and shall not be permitted to pass any buck to anyone else, in the judgment.

Also, notice that unlike EPMMI and WLC, Highway to Holiness Ministry did not develop a Calendar for sharing per se. But, have focused on teaching each Qodeshiym (Saint), how to use the Gregorian Calendar and superimpose the Divine events on it. It is a great approach as it enriches us all with the fundamentals and the range of knowledge we should all have pertaining to Lunisolar calendation.

We have limited the Calendar to the period beginning from 1900-01-01 to 2100-12-31. Without assuming any knowledge of the date for the end of time as we know it, we do not believe that our world would remain in this condition until 2100! Our expectation is that long before this, we should have arrived Heaven and spent decades of our millennial vacation there.

Finally, the accuracy or reliability of any Lunisolar Calendar depends to a very great extent, on the accuracy of the astronomy algorithms used to predict future Equinoxes, lunar conjunctions, and all other relevant astronomical phenomena.
