- For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Are you doing anything today for the Kingdom of Elohiym? Who told you to do it? Where did you get your directives from? If you did not get those directives on your knees, you labor in vain! Trumpet | Ram's Horn
Why A Memorial?
On the 1st day of the Seventh Month of every year, YaHuWaH commands that His people celebrate the 'blowing of trumpets'. Why is that?
In the Yashar'el economy, there are virtually every musical or audio instrument known to man. All are in use daily in all religious events which dominated the economy of Yashar'el. The Shofar (Trumpet) was only one of them. It is only for the Shofar (Trumpet) that an annual memorial is instituted.
The Command
- And YaHuWaH spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
- Ye shall do no servile work therein: ...
This great Feast is among Elohiym's Sabbaths and Feasts or holy days and holidays. (Leviticus 23). Did you, do you celebrate it? If you did not or do not, why is that? If you need more information as to why you need to observe and celebrate, please visit this page.
Notice that the memorial of blowing of trumpets, comes on the 1st day of the Seventh month. Recognize that nine days after, on the 10th of the same Month, Tishrei, will be the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur! So, while a Feast in its own right, this Feast serves to warn Elohiym's people to begin preparation for the coming, most important Feast. That's typical of the 'blowing of trumpets'. Consider Elohiym's elucidation of the purposes of the 'Trumpets':
The Purposes
- And YaHuWaH spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
- And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
- And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Yashar'el, shall gather themselves unto thee.
- When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
- When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
- But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
- And the sons of Aharon, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
- And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before YaHuWaH your Elohiym, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
- Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your Elohiym: I am YaHuWaH your Elohiym.
Notice that in every situation, the Shofar (Trumpet) is to be blown in a 'certain' way. An 'alarm' mode, for War and mass movement. A non-alarm mode, for gathering at the Tabernacle; blown once to call the leaders (princes) to a meeting. On this day, the shrill long blasts of the Trumpets all around Yashar'el all day long. In that manner, it looks forward to the long, shrill, non-stop blasts of the seven last Trumpets which will end only with the Second-coming of Yahuwshuah haMashiach.
Trumpets | The Occasions
Trumpets | Jericho Event
- And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
- And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
- And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
- And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of YaHuWaH.
Trumpets | Gideon Event
- When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of YaHuWaH, and of Gideon.
- So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets,...
- And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of YaHuWaH, and of Gideon.
- And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
- And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and YaHuWaH set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled ...
- And the men of Yashar'el gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.
Trumpets | Dedication by Shalomah
- ... and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:
- It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking YaHuWaH; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised YaHuWaH, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of YaHuWaH;
- So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of YaHuWaH had filled the house of Elohiym.
Trumpets | War, Yahuwdah On Yashar'el
- And, behold, Elohiym himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Yashar'el, fight ye not against YaHuWaH Elohiym of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
- But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Yahuwdah, and the ambushment was behind them.
- And when Yahuwdah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto YaHuWaH, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
- Then the men of Yahuwdah gave a shout: and as the men of Yahuwdah shouted, it came to pass, that Elohiym smote Jeroboam and all Yashar'el before Abijah and Yahuwdah.
- And the children of Yashar'el fled before Yahuwdah: and Elohiym delivered them into their hand.
- And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Yashar'el five hundred thousand chosen men.
- Thus the children of Yashar'el were brought under at that time, and the children of Yahuwdah prevailed, because they relied upon YaHuWaH Elohiym of their fathers.
- ...
- Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and YaHuWaH struck him, and he died.
Trumpets and their use was so ubiquitous, they are mentioned 112 times in the King James Bible. This does not include the occasions when the the 'trumpets' were called "ram's horns".
Here is perhaps the most important occasion when the trumpet played an outsized role:
Trumpets | YaHuWaH On Sinai
- There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
- And Mosheh went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
- And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
- And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
- And Mosheh brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with Elohiym; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
- And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because YaHuWaH descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
- And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Mosheh spake, and Elohiym answered him by a voice.
- And YaHuWaH came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and YaHuWaH called Mosheh up to the top of the mount; and Mosheh went up.
- And YaHuWaH said unto Mosheh, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto YaHuWaH to gaze, and many of them perish.
- And let the priests also, which come near to YaHuWaH, sanctify themselves, lest YaHuWaH break forth upon them.
- And Mosheh said unto YaHuWaH, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
- And YaHuWaH said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aharon with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto YaHuWaH, lest he break forth upon them.
- So Mosheh went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

- Call To Worship at all Worship events and feasts (Psalms 81:3-4)
- Every worship event as part of the musical instruments
- Alarm for War (Yeremiyahuw 4:19)
- At the End of Time (Yeshayahuw 27:12-13)
- Rejection of the Invitation to Life (Yeremiyahuw 6:17)
- Disinterest in every divine offer of salvation (Yeremiyahuw 42:14)
- Prepare People For an Event (Yechezkiy'el 7:14-15)
- Full Blown Warning of impending personal and corporate doom (Yechezkiy'el 33:3 -30 )
- Warning: The Day of YaHuWaH Is nigh at hand. To the World (Joel 2:1-2)
- The 7 last Trumpets, immediately after the opening of the 7th Seal, directing attention to the 7 last Plagues and the end (Revelation 8)
As we have seen, the Trumpets played and will still play such a crucial role in every stage of the process of our salvation. And, so, it is important to understand that while Trumpets have been mostly 'warnings' to flee; 'alarms' for war calling for preparedness, the 7 last trumpets will simply be drawing our attention to terrible 7 last plagues to bring time to its end! It will not be 'warning' anyone about anything, because, when they begin to blow, the 'door of mercy' shall have closed forever; the 'probation' for the world is at an end! See Revelation 8:5.
Therefore, beloved, now is the time to pay close attention to the trumpets, as they are 'trumpets' warning us and inviting us to salvation; calling us to preparation for the end.
- All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye
Many have refused and are refusing. YaHuWaH is aware and prepared for whatever choice you make!
- Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
If, sadly, you choose not to heed the trumpets, sad to say, your blood will be on your own head!
- Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
- He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
